Novice skier - what's best resort and accmmodations?

I work for British Airways and we are hoping to travel to calgary on 7
march to do some skiing but we have no knowledge of the resort areas. We would like
to avoid hiring a car but ot be too far away from the slopes. I am a novice skier
and my partner is an advanced skier. Any suggestion as to the best resort and
accomodation recommendations please. We would initially like to avoid hiring a car
too.
