Ski Beaver Creek
Beaver Creek resort has perfectly groomed terrain, snowmaking on over 600 acres and over 4,000 feet of vertical rise. And getting up to their 149 trails has never been easier. They have outdoor escalators to get you from the village to the chair lifts, so you can leave your legs for the runs and now have ten high-speed quad chair lifts to get to the top, which peaks at 11,440 feet.
The trails themselves are nicely divided between beginner (19%), intermediate (43%) and advanced (38%) terrain.
Explore Beaver Creek Village
This mountain village has a European flavor and is so posh that they actually heat the walkways between the on-resort lodging and the shopping area. Things like this make you notice that you really are at a fancy resort.
And just because you’re engaging in winter sports doesn’t mean you have to leave your artistic side behind. Visit The Crystal Grotto at Beaver Creek. It is North America’s only performing arts center made of ice and featuring ice instruments. It is located near Spruce Saddle Restaurant and seats 150.
Other Winter Activities
Go tubing at New Heights to experience Beaver Creek’s new lift-served, four lane tubing hill. The whole family will be squealing on this wild ride down the mountain. You can find the hill just below The Ranch. Access it by riding the Buckaroo Gondola.
The Beaver Creek Snowshoe Adventure Series is a popular annual event, and ice-skating is a fun activity in the village square. Dog sledding and cross-country skiing are good options for excursions that don’t require a ski lift, and at night, check out their fireworks show with a hot chocolate in hand.
Summer Activities
Hiking in Beaver Creek is done along Beaver Lake Trail. It is a must-do if you’re in the area during the summer months. This moderate to difficult hiking trail extends 6.6 miles from the Mitchell Lake Trailhead. It begins at 10,500 feet and reaches 11,300 feet. Don’t forget your camera!
Golfing in Beaver Creek can be done at a few different places. Beaver Creek Golf Club, Eagle Ranch Golf Club and Eagle Vail Golf Club are just a few of many. The scenery is wonderful, courses challenging and its almost always sunny, so chances are you won’t ever get rained out!
Year-Round
Culinary adventuring is always a welcome activity and you’re in luck no matter what time of year it is in Beaver Creek. Their world-renown chefs serve up scrumptious gourmet cuisine to please any palate.
There are also a number of high-end spas in the area to cater to your every need. Neck sore from the flight in? They can massage that right out. Legs weary after days on the slopes? A hot stone massage will rejuvenate you. Looking for a relaxing day amongst summer hiking and adventuring? Get a facial or a luxurious body wrap. You’ll leave Beaver Creek a new person!
