Built and planned to accommodate tourists, Keystone, Colorado is ready to entertain you. Their huge ski resort is the closest major ski area from the Denver airport and all of the Keystone lodging options will have your head spinning!

A skier enjoys Keystone's powder.

To help you plan your trip to this town in the Colorado Rockies, we have compiled a list of things to do in Keystone, whether you come in the winter or in summer. Enjoy!

WINTER ACTIVITIES
Ski Keystone

Keystone is the largest mountain in Summit County and offers an incredible 3,148 skiable acres to explore using their 20 lifts and 2 gondolas. If you wake up later than usual, don’t worry. You can take advantage of ours of extra trail time thanks to the largest night skiing operation in Colorado at Keystone.

Nordic Center
Visit Keystone’s Nordic Center to sign up for cross-country ski or snowshoeing lessons or venture out on your own!

Ice-skating
Zamboni machines maintain all five acres of their outdoor, man-made lake for ice-skating in the winter. The biggest ice-skating area in North America!

Tubing
Adventure point, at the summit of Dercum Mountain is one of Colorado’s best tubing spots. Its got a great pitch and a long run out, making it a family favorite.

If these haven’t been enough options, try sledding, dog sleigh, snowmobiling or take a horse-drawn sleigh or snowcat tour at Keystone! Also, don’t miss their professional fireworks show shot from River Run Village every Saturday during the winter.

SUMMER ACTIVITIES
Hiking

The slopes turn to hiking trails in the summer here in the Colorado Rockies. Keystone runs some of its chair lifts to allow access to its high mountain trails.

Horseback riding
Take a challenging trail up the mountain, or tour the valley below by horseback for a true Colorado experience.

Fly-fishing
Test how good the flick of your wrist in the Snake River, which winds its way through the valley in which Keystone sits. Easy access points to the river are reachable by almost any Keystone property.

Mountain Biking
The Soda Ridge Trail makes its way between the golf courses in Keystone and is perfect for mountain biking. The trail also connects into the network of trails at Keystone Ski Resort and the Colorado Trail. All these trails make Keystone arguably the best ski resort for downhill biking. Lift tickets and bike rentals are available at the base of the mountain.

Keystone Lakeside Village
A great place to be in the summer! This village in Keystone is home to many summer concerts and festivals. Their 4th of July celebration is always a blast and the lake is perfect for paddle boating.

Golfing
Try to make par at one of the two high-altitude courses at Keystone Ranch. Both are 18 holes. And remember, golf balls travel about 20% farther at this altitude, so golfing will be more fun than ever!

YEAR ROUND KEYSTONE ACTIVITIES
Dining

Keystone is home to multiple AAA ranked Diamond restaurants that are also rated with Wine Spectator and Zagat Survey. One of their five-star restaurants is located two chair lifts and a short walk up the mountain! The views at Alpenglow Stube and gourmet food are definitely worth the effort.

Shopping
River Run Village, in the heart of Keystone, is a quaint alpine village that has a variety of shops. Perfect for a stroll window shopping, or some real power shopping!

Spa Services
Visit the 10,000 square foot luxury spa at Keystone Lodge. Your tired legs will thank you after your days of skiing or hiking!
