The Fairmont Banff Springs Golf Course, a part of the Alberta Signature Golf Series, is among the most challenging you’ll find anywhere and especially in the Canadian Rockies.

Fortunately, you’ll have the stunning beauty of its scenery to console you if your putts aren’t falling like they should.

It’s an older course, designed by Stanley Thompson and built in 1927. Its 27 holes are laid out along the Bow River, with the majestic peaks of Sulphur Mountain and Mount Rundle looming in the background.

The course also features a practice facility and a golf academy where you can spend up to half a day with a professional to work on your game. Shoe and club rentals are also available.
