The Columbia Icefields is a remarkable natural phenomenon. During the warmer months of the year, you can get up close and personal and see the largest of the chain of icefields along the Great Divide separating BC from Alberta. Another great flight to make is the over Maligne Lake. Taking a boat tour on Maligne Lake is a great experience. It is the longest and deepest lake in the Rockies and is known around the world for its deep emerald colour and surrounding snow-capped mountains. From the air, it is simply stunning. You half expect to see the Lough Ness monster sunbathing on its shores.
